工尺譜是中樂傳統記譜法之一，特點是以漢字記音，例如粵曲會以「合、士、乙、上、尺、工、反、六」代表不同的音高。在香港，工尺譜至今仍廣見用於粵劇、粵樂和崑曲等。
是次講座系列包括三個講座，透過示範演奏、樂譜賞析等，讓觀眾從多方面了解工尺譜，加深參加者對其文化的認識。
One of the ancient systems of musical notation used for traditional Chinese music is Gongche notation (or gongchepu), in which each note is represented by a Chinese character. This system is still commonly used for notating Kunqu and Cantonese opera scores and Cantonese music.
In this series of three 101 talks, members of The Gong Strikes One provide live demonstrations of how to read gongche music sheets, and talk with experts in the field to offer insight into various aspects of this traditional notation form.
