Title of Work: In the Loop (trailer)

Every day, we loop.

In 2020, the discourse of “tradition versus modernity / innovation” is still bothering us. We loop the same old arguments, just as we loop the days of the week, months of the year.

02022020 is just another day in the loop. This piece is composed of loops of stylised movements, set rhythms and melodic phrases from traditional Chinese theatre, or, more often called, Chinese opera.

This is a new piece, yet there is nothing new.
