While all rhythms used in this piece are traditional set rhythms from Chinese Opera, this track uses only one Cantonese Opera high-rimmed gong to simulate the full percussion ensemble as an experiment to let traditional set rhythms be heard in unconventional timbres. The vocal passage in this piece is adapted from an underwater battle scene in the classical Yuan drama, “To Lake Dongting, Liuyi Delivers a Letter”. It is sung in the style of“lung zau” (literally “dragon boat”), a kind of traditional Cantonese narrative song, with added Chinese vertical flute improvisation.
此曲只用一面高邊鑼，以多種擊法模擬傳統戲曲鑼鼓組合，務求以不一樣的音色呈現傳統戲曲鑼鼓點。此影片中特別加入錄音片段，聽眾可從中可看到各種擊鑼之法。曲中唱段則是一段改編自元雜劇《洞庭湖柳毅傳書》之曲詞，以傳統廣東說唱曲藝龍舟唱法唱出，並加入洞簫即興作為襯托。
